"The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) sent Mu'adh ibn Jabal to Yemen and said to him, 'You are going to a people from among the People of the Book. So invite them to testify that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah. If they accept that, then inform them that Allah has obligated upon them five prayers during the day and night. If they accept that, then inform them that Allah has obligated upon them charity from their wealth to be taken from their rich and given to their poor. If they accept that, then beware of taking the best of their wealth, for that is a wrong to them.'"
