Materials:

* 1x6 pine board (cut to 12"x12") * 1x4 pine board (cut to 6"x6") * 1/2" plywood (cut to 6"x6") * 1/4" dowel (cut to 4") * Wood glue * Nails * Screws

Instructions:

1. Cut the 1x6 pine board into two pieces, each measuring 12"x6". These pieces will form the front and back of the bird house. 2. Cut the 1x4 pine board into two pieces, each measuring 6"x6". These pieces will form the sides of the bird house. 3. Cut the 1/2" plywood into a circle measuring 6" in diameter. This piece will form the roof of the bird house. 4. Assemble the bird house by gluing and nailing the sides to the front and back pieces. 5. Attach the roof to the bird house by gluing and nailing it to the top edges of the sides. 6. Drill a hole in the center of the roof for the dowel perch. 7. Insert the dowel perch into the hole. 8. Hang the bird house in a tree or on a post in your backyard.

2. Recycled Plastic Bottle Bird House

This recycled plastic bottle bird house is a great way to upcycle old plastic bottles. It's easy to make and can be customized to any size or shape.

Thread twine or wire through the holes in the top of the bottle and hang it from a tree or post.

This wooden pallet bird house is a great way to reuse old wooden pallets. It's sturdy and durable, and can be painted or stained to match your home's décor.
