About the Editors

Professor Michael Goodchild is a Distinguished Professor of Geography at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a leading researcher in the field of GIScience, and he has published over 500 papers in the field. He is the author of several books on GIScience, including "Geographic Information Systems: Principles and Applications" and "Spatial Analysis: Principles and Applications." He is also the editor-in-chief of the journal "International Journal of Geographical Information Science."

Professor Peter van Oosterom is a Professor of Geoinformatics at the Delft University of Technology. He is a leading researcher in the field of GIScience, and he has published over 300 papers in the field. He is the author of
